we need a slot for indian strikers....then only we could get to see some competitors for the place too....if i am not wrong rafi was almost no one couple of season back...but after getting chances in mah utd he is a renowned name....same could be said for xavier vijay kumar....what is their state in next season.... a shift to another top club and lose its spot in playing xi....
the end result i would say is these clubs dont really give chance to indian strikers to perform their full talent...
Exactly that is why we hear about these so called big talents coming up but they never do because they are given short minutes. Imagine where Robin Singh would be right now. The kid has a lot a talent and a lot of a hell of potential yet how many I-League games has he played so far.
Whatever talent he has he is wasting that.I think he got enough chances to show his talent.If a player being rested in I League match for poor mental strength then I doubt his capabilities.I personally feel Rafi is much better than Robin.Introducing quota system is not going to improve standards.Indian strikers need to earn their place in team.
all i am saying is give them some good playing time in the team in top league....may be 2nd half substitute...see the eg of sunil: had he not been our national teams main striker, he would be out of the plan of MB technical team and who knows he might come back to his ways from any match....so you think he earned the spot or he got the chance to secure it???
Sunil is selected as main striking partner of Odafa for Mohun Bagan and I can assure you he will get plenty of chances.He already proved that he has the capabilities to play as a main striker of any top indian club.So if a player is that good he is going to be selected anyhow.

Na its good. 1) The ref gave the ok, otherwise why shoot if the ref did not say so yet and the ref would have also called it back if he did not give the ok.
2) Look at where the Mumbai players where. You can tell what there final formatted wall was going to be and the line the ball went in there was no way the final wall would have made a difference. At most a little difference to the keeper but you can't take the fact out that it was a good goal.
