Actually i want Essel group to do with football start full time football league in india instead of cricket. They making new world cricket body all over world which is support by others because of bulling by 3 biggies it might work for them. ICL is killed by BCCI and L Modi by imposing ban on players. BCCI was intelligent to suppress ICL.
With football, the only way I can see it without really disrupting the already bad schedule and perhaps getting success is through starting a new league which would start in 2018 and select I-League clubs would be allowed in, along with new direct-entry clubs, and a 8-team league is formed which is less extravagant than ISL but still better than I-League.
Reason I say 2018 is because the teams would need time to adapt to what I guess would be brand new rules on how each team should be ran.
I'm wishing Essel all the success for their venture. The current cricket administration is deep rooted in corruption. While FIFA is trying to spread the game, the ICC is trying to limit it to the big 3 which is unfortunate. Maybe, they'll succeed in making Cricket a world sport showcasing T20. There's no chance though if they try to promote ODI's or Tests.
Any league in Sport - Franchise based or not-has to go thru Official Association otherwise it will be deemed Rebel and it will be scuttled down. Rebel Leagues affect the sport a lot-in terms of TV Rights, Sponsorships as well as integrity of the game itself. ICL, World Series Hockey are two examples of unsuccessful attempts earlier. The moment FIFA / AFC raise objection, ISL will also be termed "Rebel League". Players will suffer ban although retired oldies do not care.
Only problem I have with it,money ain't gonna come to Aiff... it is private league. Who the hell in the world will allow this kind of shit deal... If Aiff was a manager in my office and propose this deal... direct pink slip.... step mother treatment...
@ArsenalFan700@sam Andaman and Nicobar Islands have many indigeneous tribes. Sentinelese, Jarawas, Shompen are not in mainstream yet and very few numbers. They barely wear clothes and have little resistance to diseases. But there are few tribes who are in mainstream and live along with mainland people. Interesting story but SAI have worked with them also about the same time when they were training Siddis. During world war-2, Japan occupied these islands and for some reason, they left lots of cycles there. The islanders took to fancy with cycling. SAI took many of the tribal kids and coached them for cycling. Many National winners in cycling events are tribals from Andaman and Nocobar islands.
