Nine teams more likely. No Bharat FC, no Pune FC on all probability. Nobody suggested increased promotion from second division, at least till now. No new direct entry teams as of today.
Also, if AIFF take more than 9 teams, they will make their task more difficult as they will need a longer window for I-League, which they don't have. So clearly they would not be interested.
@Deb_Ban Not exactly... with 9 teams AIFF have to organise 18 rounds with 4 matches each round & with 10 teams it is still 18 rounds with 5 matches each round. So time consumed is the same.
But PP and Co. Have to take time off milking kickbacks from the Pvt daily circus to make a good proposition to teams....clearly something that doesnt interest them
"He mentioned that his initial days at Mumbai FC were tough and that he found it difficult to acclimatize. However, it was Abhishek Yadav’s guidance and role as a mentor which helped him stabilize and get adjusted with life in Mumbai. "I joined Mumbai FC and I had no idea about a lot of footballing aspects to be honest. I had no idea about the standard of the I-League as well. Abhishek Bhai came and spoke to me as a friend. He helped me improve tremendously with his words and advice. He would often guide me on certain aspects of my game which motivated me to work harder. I think in every club you need such senior figures who help youngsters acclimatize and offer advice on how to improve,” he stated. http://www.goal.com/en-india/news/7083/isl/2015/10/13/16267492/indian-super-league-sanjiban-ghosh-practicing-without-shoes?CMPID=FBIND_151013_isl
Looks like Abhishek Bhai is continuing his good work! Why should only Bhaichung Bhai have quotas!
Okay... I guess I can understand his inclusion in the squad, as long as he is not just thrust in as the #1, 2, or even 3. I do not accept it though. He had one good game but so do a lot of players and honestly, as a national team scout, if I saw a player have one good game then I would just simply pencil that player in as one to watch, not one that I believe should automatically be in the squad... but then again seems Ghosh had help from Yadav.
Donot compare India with Thailand there youth development is one of the best in Asia . Thailand has plenty of academy's compared to India. Their club youth development & infrastructure I's better than india :-B
