@BrainFallINDIA, Those 8 teams in Kerala Premier league are SBT, Police, AGS office, Titanium, Excise, Nova, Kerala team, Kerala U21. Do you see a single real club?
@BrainFallINDIA if you think Shillong can sustain itself and sporting clube de goa can't. then u don't know anything about Indian football. SCG currently has highest budget among all Goa clubs. SCG can sustain itself for more years then Shillong.
After Indian captain Sunil Chettri claimed in the buildup to the match that Guam ‘aren’t that good’ the squad is determined to make the forward regret those words.
“With all due respect to India’s most successful football player not only did we defeat India when we last met but we also won with style and domination,” said Guam head coach, Gary White.
“Talk is cheap and it’s naïve to battle with words when the game is played on the pitch, you’ll see exactly again what my players are about during this game, we do not pick and choose when we want to give effort, this is a standard requirement to put on a Matao shirt”
so you think SCDG will spend 35 cr in a season to play in ISL???
Do you think they stand a chance against FC GOA in attendances ???
Shillong Lajong have a legendary status in north east so even if they sell their shares they could manage to rope in someone financially stronger to help them run it,and they will never ever be short on attendances or popularity
They may be financially stronger ,but i don't think they will encourage another club from goa especially when FC Goa continues to dominate goan football scene , Northeast could easily do with another club ,may not be a cash cow but it will sustain due to it's immense support and passion
@BrainFallINDIA Northeast can't sustain another ISL team. Guwahati is the only city in Northeast and all others are small towns.
Economically, they depend on doles from central government. The population is increasingly migrating to other parts of country. TV ownership is less than 50%. There are still insurgency problems.
Add to it, getting foreigners to live and play there. Stadium attendance can only help but cannot recover the costs required to run an ISL club.
