@atuljg that's almost my wish. u23 and u19, but what's the point of having 6 foreigners? This will unnecessarily increase the cost. No state league should entertain more than 2 foreigners, 2 of good quality, not random guys. And I told 1 month league because involvement of cmg. ASPL managed by them was of almost same duration. That need to be changed. We need year long thing to call it a professional league. Otherwise what the players will do rest of the season? playing 7 a side, random tournament for random local clubs? I have actually seen quite a few guys playing in some random tournament here in my little town, who actually are contracted to some Calcutta football league clubs. They are financially weak, they need to support their family, they earn for just one month rest ' khep'. atleast a 6-7 month affair is a need of hour. that should be a professional state leagues. Reduction in foreigners will increase spending power can sustain longer league.
merge I league ISL. form a 2nd divisin national league ( no pro rel obviously.) with rest teams. at least 6 state professional state leagues ( I mean at least 6-7 months affair). restructure state leagues. rest lower divisions may remain semi pro or armature. no problem. goa, west Bengal, mpl, apsl, bangalore, Mumbai are few state leagues to mention. now emerging kerala league.
4 months state leagues. Top 2 placed teams will play in div 2 national league for another 2 month. woth 1 month gap in-between. and a fed cup involving all clubs merged leagues and lower clubs in fa cup style.
@footydip, It's like 6 foreigners in Squad compared to 10 in ISL, not playing 11 from what I understand.
Moreover if anything at all happens (@Ashlesh says not to trust KFA and I also don't) , it'll only be a bonus. We're currently having a 10 day joke of a state league called kerala premier league. This year, I think it happened between May2-May11.
Last year, Kerala premier league was won by an institutional club and KFA president was telling media that they'll get to play in 2nd division I league. I was wondering if he's yet to receive rule book of i league preventing institutional clubs. He's a dumb illiterate Congress politician who knows nothing about football.

They could have launched a Chennai club and played all year round...in both the long leagues..
