Return of absurdity in this forum again. What Zico says is agreeable to everyone, Any one esp you Deepak trying to portray ISL following fans as being obnoxious and not knowing what is happening due to it to the calendar is absurd.
The same way I-league was and is a failure.. ISL will also Plateau in just a couple of years unless we move towards a single league having a solid roadmap on a pan indian connection of dots straight from the grass roots to the elite tier.
Fyi, Zico may or may not return is dependent on his contract..Not because he doesnt rate ISL. Or Maybe he feels it was stupid to return to Goa after the way its owners went all childish.
ISL clubs cannot continue to lose money like this , They will have to take a back seat during the U-17 World Cup in 2017
After that IMG-R will make use of the improved stadia & facilities to go to Plan B : Have major pre-season friendlies hosted in India , as well as FIFA Club World Cup. Once again IMG-R have the rights to any commercial footballing activity in India , so they will get the money , and very little will trickle down.
I-League clubs will get some fringe benefits of having better facilities to play in , and will have to band together if they want to improve their failing product.

I-League rebranding would be nice but the ISL is the clearly better product.

Srinivas Dempo used to get fleeced by Armando and co and spend 20Crores per year at Dempo
He foots the bills: 1/3 of the FC GOA expenditure for the same amount of 20Crores. ..
So he can continue to do this...
At least he is getting full crowds and popularity. ...something which Dempo never managed
NEUFC and Delhi Dynamos won't be able to continue this spending. ..and FC Pune and KBFC having a serious re-think too
