Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Kochi will be hosting 2018 World Cup Preliminary Joint Qualification Round 2 match of Indian Football Team against Turkmenistan on March 29. Kochi it is.
Good. FIFA website has this venue since long time. Trivandrum Stadium still not ready or what? Fans who visited the venue for SAFF Cup were complaining that work still needs to be completed there.
Meanwhile in an effort to boost quality of domestic football Sri Sri PP & his band of merry men have decided to hold semis of Santosh trophy bw goa and services @7:30 am.
Not a bad kick off time.....though the players have to postpone breakfast. Otherwise it is ok as pollution will be less at that time. I hope PP & his servants (who themselves are servants of Madam Nita) schedule ISL matches at 7-30 AM henceforth so that with less polution, we may have many more really old stars in action. I wonder if Subrata Dutta & Co even know about 7-30 kick off. If some body says it is not their job... then I ask what is their job by the way ?

Also, he equalled Dika's record for most goals scored by an Indian player in continental club competitions in one season. The ISL stint has done a world of good for him. As he told in an interview, Marco Materazzi has had a huge influence on him: among other things, the coach instructed him to put on more muscle, increase his fitness and improve his sense of positioning. The results are obvious: he has been regularly scoring goals for Bagan as well as the National Team. After his career seemed to have plateaued after his Pune FC and Pailan Arrows days in 2010-11, he seems to have found his best form now. Bodes well for Indian football.
