First away win in 15 years in Asian Cup qualifiers. Alas, our PP babu didn't even know we were playing in this tournament.

Jeje's recent form is a mix of hardwork, luck and the fact the he is in the peak age were a striker excel. Hope he continues this for a couple more years.
@Nagendra  Make no mistake Jeje is definitely  not a '91. Before you question the credibility of my assertion, as some one who was brought up in Mizoram let me tell all it takes to get a new birth certificate is a couple of 100 bucks and  paan. Be recruitment for army or any age related activitiesi have seen local lads flocking to the block office to get a new birth certificate and marks card at will. This was the prevailing norm throughout the state. It would have been ever cheaper and easier in a village like Hnathial were Jeje hails from (which FYI was barely an hour drive from my town) as almost everyone new each other due to the population being very small.

This is so misleading. Since 2008 until recently we were playing AFC Challenge Cup, were not even eligible for AFC Asia Cup qualifiers. For the 2007 Asia Cup we were grouped with Asian Giants Japan and Saudi Arabia along with Yemen! How were we supposed to win.

This is a new format and we are not playing Japan, Saudi but a bloody Laos! Bloody Laos! A team which gets beaten by haphazardly assembled out of practice Nepali side at home!

AIFF is inventing new ways to glorify SC's invisible achievements. Yesterday this 'since 2001' bullshit and today there was a series of testimonies from players about how Laos were not an easy side. Of course they will not be an easy side, if your side is sharpening its ass at the 163rd position!

Sorry for the language. But you can tell I am  frustrated

It is not that often that we play in Home and Away Format or matter of fact any country. Only during Continental and World Cup Qualifiers.
If one is looking at outside India victory, then many examples are there in SAFF cup like in Nepal 2013 SAFF Championship.
Our route to qualify for AFC Asia Cup was through now disbanded AFC Challenge Cup. India pariticipated in AFC Challenge Cup Qualification Tournament last time in 2013  in Burma where India defeated Guam, Chinese Taipei.
It is weird to compare home and away records because qualification procedure changes every few years.
