""They have also included my name in the technical committee, but I have never received any letter or any form of communication from them. Now people ask me why do I speak up against AIFF when their website shows me as a member of the committee? This gives you a fair idea about how the game is run here," Banerjee concluded. "

I-LEAGUE PULL OUT - AIFF to hold talks with Goan clubs
The All India Football Federation (AIFF) general secretary Kushal Das will arrive in Goa later this week to hold talks with Goan clubs, two of which have pulled out of the I-League.
Salgaocar FC and Sporting Clube de Goa released a joint statement on Friday explaining why they were forced to take the painful decision of withdrawing from the I-League, India's premier football competition, and Dempo Sports Club chairman Shrinivas Dempo added to AIFF's woes after he made it clear that he too was inclined towards joining the other Goan clubs. The AIFF was understandably rattled, and although the federation released a statement later in the night wondering why the Goan clubs took a “knee jerk“ decision, efforts to woo the Goan clubs back in the I-League fold are on. AIFF president Praful Patel was the first to speak with Dempo SC chairman Shrinivas Dempo also the AIFF vice-president on Saturday and the early-morning call was followed by another call from the AIFF headquarters, this time from general secretary Kushal Das. “I spoke with Shrinivas (Dempo) today and he said he would try and set up a discussion with Shivanand Salgaocar and Peter Vaz to understand all their issues. I don't know why people are misunderstanding (the issue). The whole idea is to try and create a sustainable club model so that in the future when everything opens up, people can move up and down,“ said Das.
The Goan clubs withdrew in protest at the AIFF's May 17 proposal to make the Indian Super League a top-tier league and relegate ILeague to League One with no promotion to the top league, without consulting the clubs. ISL teams will also not be relegated, according to the presentation made by AIFF and its marketing partners, IMGReliance.
Hope Kushal Das is not going to Goa on a "thanks giving mission". By the time he reaches Goa...Dempo may also pull out...so he should be prepared for that also. Don't know whether it is going to be an eye wash or a real effort. I think every body would love to see Salgaocar, Sporting & Dempo playing in the I-League.
Everybody BUT the jokers from USA who own indian football ...it says a lot when Aiff can't directly call the owners of nation's top league directly and need a mediator....clearly an eye wash and a PR exercise....all pp & co want to ensure is that fc goa don't withdraw from the circus....
