India taste their first ever defeat in a kabadi match ! Lost to south korea in a match that India dominated , south korea win 3 points a super raid in the very last minute which cost us the match
I am surprised that other South Asian countries like Nepal, Sri lanka are not playing Kabaddi ??? Kabaddi is a popular game in Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and especially Terai Madhesi of Nepal or Tamils of Sri lanka must be interested in Kabaddi.
Getting Kabaddi into Olympics is very difficult. Few countries play this sport at good level. Now we have India Pakistan conflict too. Wrestling was in trouble in Olympics recently, forget about Kabaddi.
Kabaddi is a good source of medals at Asian Games for India as other disciplines where India used to get medals like Billiards, Snooker, Chess have been axed.
Few days ago, India lost to Pakistan in Beach Kabaddi also. It looks like other countries are catching up.
We need younger, fitter, fast players. There are many 30 plus, unfit, fat players which are okay in PKL where all teams are like that. But for international events like this, we need better team.
