<ol><li><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">The combination play cooked up by
Armando Colaco. Granted he enjoys a lot of privileges at Dempo not
enjoyed by other coaches, more so in Calcutta, full marks to Armando
for the excellent passing team game he has developed over the years
at Dempo. Dempo is far less dependent on individual skill of players
than other Indian clubs, that in itself is a wonderful contribution
    of Armando to Indian football</p>
    </li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">KoKo Sakibo, although I
consider him just above average, a trifle better than Indian
strikers, he played his heart out or maybe it was pathetic
performance once again by Gourmangi et al that made him look so good</p>
    </li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Ranti's strike was excellent,
scored from a very accurate shot aimed at the corner of the net,
nothing much the custodian could do about it</p>
    </li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Miranda's strike was another
skillful display although he was mostly quiet but maybe that was
Dempo's strategy, keeping him as the surprise element in attack who
shows up nowhere and hits the target</p>
    </li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Denzil Theobald, the world cupper
is starting to look good with his through passes</p>
    </li></ol>
    <p style="margin-bottom: 0cm"><br>
    </p>
    <p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Negatives</p>
    <ol><li><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Aging Sameer Naik, a prominent
area of weakness which Ralte could not exploit at all. Mohun Bagan
left wingers and left wing backs had him in sixes and sevens all
    throughout the game.</p>
    </li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Climax Lawrence, another chink in
    the armor remained largely unexploited.</p>
    </li></ol><br><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">CHURCHILL BROTHERS</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Positives</p>
    <ol><li><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Beto</p>
</li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Raju yumnam Singh, the lone bright
spot in defence, goes about his job quietly without much fanfare, is
pretty accurate with his passing, does not have the hype of those
Houghton era national players about him.</p>
    </li></ol>

    <p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Negatives.</p><ol><li><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Gourmangi Singh, less said the
    better</p>
</li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Lalrindika Ralte, too soft for top
level football which I always felt although he did show some promise
    with his left foot</p>
</li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Stephen Dias, to be honest any of
the Houghton era national players for that matter, waste of my time
    to even comment on them.</p>
    </li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Denzil Franco, has a knack of
making fatal mistakes, some of his fouls can lead to career
threatening injuries, much more positive in offence, starts
committing mistakes in defence under slightest of pressure</p>
    </li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Ravanan</p>
</li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Zakeer and Lenny in the midfield
have very limited abilities, not for the big league at all.</p>
    </li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Arindam Bhattacharya, the rowilson
goal was entirely of his own making.</p>
    </li></ol>
    <p style="margin-bottom: 0cm"><br>
    </p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Last but not the least, finally some
silver lining in the officiating department. Santosh Kumar is doing a
pretty decent job and consistently so, if ably supported by equally
competent assistants, there is some surety that the game will be
played fair and square. Durga Naik is another promising referee who
    deserves mention.</p>
