Srikanth and Sai Praneeth have both reached the Final of Singapore Open Super Series Event.
India becomes just the 4th Nation to have both the players in the final of a Super Series Event after China(15 times) , Indonesia(1 time) and Denmark (1 time).
Another Landmark in Badminton. This is quite a high level tournament.
To understand the difficulty of Super Series level tournament is That Marin and Sindhu met in quarter finals here whereas they met in finals at the Olympics.
India's Manpreet Kaur(SHOT PUT) has created New National Record(18.86m) for India bettering the previous record(17.96m ) which was held by her.
She has not only created the New National Record but has also qualified for World Athletics Championship where the Qualification standard was (17.75m).
Ya,more than Decent for her specially considering this was the first major event of the year.
As I have said this was the first event so Considering that,Neeraj threw (82.11m) whereas (83m) is qualifying standard for World Athletics Championship. So,it was not so bad start.
There are 2 more events scheduled for 27th and 30th of this month which will act as Qualifying events for World Athletics Championship which will be held later this year. So, hopefully he'll qualify from these events which are scheduled on 27th and 30th April.
