Jugraj Singh was the best Penalty Corner taker as well as Defender I have ever seen in Indian Hockey. His accident was a big jolt for Indian Hockey. He was better then Pakistani great Sohail Abbas.

Len Aiyappa was one more very talented Indian player (PC taker) but because of politics, he didnt get many chances.

Rupinder Pal Singh is good but the whole Penalty Corner routine which India team takes is often very shambolic. Cant push the ball properly, cannot stop the ball.

Munna,Len Aiyappa had fitness issues too and was not that great a defender to be honest. He was a decent player.

Ya Guys,Jugraj Singh was a Great player. That Indian team of 2002-2004 was quite good.Had we had that team today,we would have been winning Gold Medals at World Events.
We had perfect balance of Excellent Young Players(Jugraj,Gagan Ajit,Deepak Thakur,Prabjot Singh,Viren Rasquinha, Devesh Chauhan, Kanwalpreet Singh) supported by Good Experienced players(Dhanraj Pillay,Baljit Saini,Baljit Dhillon,Dilip Tirkey).

But,can't repent for too long.We are on the rise Big time.I have huge Expections from our team.I think,we will be ready and contest for medals at Major Events starting from Next Year's World Cup.

India(0) lost to Malaysia (1) in Azlan Shah Hockey.

Really pathetic performance. One thing is for sure we can't win these sought of tournaments with these Stupid players (Harjeet, Manpreet Jr.,Gurwinder,Sumit etc). They might win you a match but not a tournament.

Today,Everybody was pathetic,it was a must win game for India but there was no energy,no intensity from anyone.I am really Disappointed with this performance. Not scoring a goal in a Hockey Match is criminal.

Rupinder and Sunil are struggling since HIL.Both had very bad tournament. Our Penalty Corner scoring is really down.

I don't know why we change our Team for every tournament to play the least deserving players.

The aim, i suppose is to create bunch of 30-35 players be it Hockey,Cricket,Football etc and to play from within this bunch. Not Fucking ignore the next 50 players and select the from under 19s and that too 5 of them at once. You generally select 1 or 2 so that others can cover them.

IT SEEMS TO ME WE JUST WANT TO PUT A INDIA TAG ON EVERYBIDY SO IN FUTURE THEY FIND JOBS EASILY(HAAN BHAI YEH BHI INDIA KHELA HUA HAI).

I can name atleast 20 players who deserved to play.

The last tournament for our team was Hilarious which ended in February. So,enough time to rest.

Today's Horrendous game cost us the whole Tournament.

We NEED TO BE MORE CONSISTENT IN OUR TEAM SELECTION.INTERNATIONAL HOCKEY IS NOT THE PLACE TO TEST OUT STUPID PLAYERS.ITS A PLACE WHERE YOU FINE TUNE PLAYERS WHO HAVE THE REQUIRED SKILLS.

Guys,Sumit and Shiva have reached the finals of the Asian Boxing Championship. Amit lost, whereas Vikas gave a walkover to his opponent.Shiva beat the Current Olympic Bronze Medalist so quite a good win for him.

Interesting fact is 9 out 10 boxer's from Uzbekistan have made the Finals of this tournament. That's what I call total Domination.

India (4) Newzealand (0) thereby India wins Bronze Medal(Azlan Shah).India should have reached the final but one bad game costed us the final.Still,we got something to look forward to for World Hockey League Semi-finals Stage Next month(June).

Guys,an epic news is coming in, still unconfirmed though...

Indian Javelin Thrower Devender Singh (hearing his name for the first time) has thrown 84.57m.If this is true, then he becomes our Second Javelin Thrower to qualify for World Athletics Championship (where entry standard is 83m) after Neeraj Chopra(who threw 83m and has Indian best of 86 m).This is quite a good throw by Devender and hope he develops further.

Guys,Asian Boxing Championship has just Concluded.7 of our boxer's have qualified out of 10 categories. One boxer lost in preliminary round and other two(who qualified  a for box-off) lost their matches to Japanese and Pakistani opponent. Both in Split Decision.

Our Boxer's Shouldn't ideally be losing to Pakistani Boxer's but this is a one off Result I feel.Had he won, which he should've,then my Expection of 8 Boxer's would have been accomplished.

NOW, COMING TO THE TOURNAMENT ANALYSIS:-Overall,I feel a decent to good tournament.Probably,80%marks out of 100.

We stood third in terms of number of Boxer Qualification for World Championship with (7) behind Uzbekistan (all 10) and Kazakhstan (9) in Asia which is Good.

We also stood joint third in Medal Table with Mongolia with 2 Silver and 2 Bronze behind Uzbekistan 9 Golds, Kazakhstan 1G, some silvers and bronzes.

8 Boxers would have been nice but 7 is also quite good.

Boxers to look out for are Shiva,Vikas and Sumit Sangwan out if this bunch.
