I haven't seen Vinesh fight after her injury as this his her first Competition. However,I still feel she is our best Women's Wrestler (even better than Sakshi).I feel, if Vinesh stays fit and if she is upto her Olympics Level(Game speed) then she can be the FIRST INDIAN WOMEN TO WIN AN OLYMPICS GOLD,SPECIALLY IN WRESTLING.I RATE HER HIGHER THAN SAKSHI SUBJECT TO HER FITNESS.I HAVE HIGH HOPES FROM HER.
Sakshi and Divya were dominated/ Anhilated by Japanese girls(Japanese Womens Wrestling is the best in the world).
Sakshi lost by Technical Superiority (Difference of 10 points).(10-0) in 2min38 sec.
Divya lost by 10-0 in 4 min.
However,Vinesh offered more than a tough competition to her opponent and could've won her fight. She lost 8-4 but in terms of match it was quite even.Vinesh was trailing 6-4.In Wrestling,if scores are level then the person who has scored the last points wins.As she was trailing 6-4, with 10 seconds to go,she tried for a 2 point move and almost converted it(she almost got it) but not fully as a result she gave away 2 points therefore losing
So,Vinesh was the only one who actually came close to the winning the Gold Medal as was predicted.
Sakshi and Divya were simply,no match. Still, good performance by our Female Wrestler's overall. However,The gap between Japan(Best in the world) and our Wrestler's is quite evident so much so that two of our Wrestler's couldn't score even a point(Sakshi being a Bronze Medallist) against them.
All eyes now will be on our Freestyle Male Wrestler's.Bajrang and Sandeep Tomar will be our best bets for a Gold Medal in my opinion.
