@Bad: Agree with you....Viswanathan Anand has been one of our most consistent performers in sports, bringing us laurels time and again on the international arena but has hardly got the recognition that he deserved

Bajrang Punia lost today in Repechage Round to end miserable outing for India in World Championships. A strong 24-member Indian contingent did not just fail to make it to the podium but everyone lost in the initial rounds of their respective weight categories. None of the wrestlers could win two consecutive bouts in the main round.

Sindhu enters the final unlike others athletes of India she knows how to perform in the bigger stage.
So we assured one silver and one bronze.Hope she will change the color of the medal in final and create
    history for India. :) <3

Yes,Badminton is the only sport where we have given results consistently. In the Rio Olympics(2016) as well,Badminton was the only sport(Medal winning Sport for us) where our performance had Improved in comparison to 2012 Olympics.

Apart from badminton, where we converted a Bronze(in 2012) to Silver(2016) all the other sports where we won Medals in 2012(Shooting,wrestling and Boxing),our performance was inferior in 2016.

So in short,Badminton has been the only saving grace for us.

Meanwhile,it seems our boxers have started well in the World Championships.

After Amit had made it to the pre quarters,Gaurav,Kavinder and Manoj have also made it to the Pre quarters as well.
The only causality was Satish Kumar.

So,this means 7 of our 8 have reached the pre-quarters stage as apart from these 4 ,Vikas,Shiva and Sumit had been given a first round bye so this meant that they would be starting their campaign from the pre-quarters.

Now,coming to the expectations from the Tournament.Reaching the Semi-final stage guarantees at least a BRONZE.

I have seen the draw of our remaining boxers.I can assure you that all 7(yes all 7 can win the next round) and reach the Quarter Finals(I am not exaggerating).

However, lets play it based on Logic, lets say that supposedly 5-6 of them manage to qualify to the next round, which will mean 5-6 boxers in the Quarter Finals which also means that a win from there on will mean a Medal. So,if 5-6 reach the Quarter final stage then atleast 3 out the 6 should be moving on which will mean atleast 2-3 Medals which will be quite amazing.

I have seen the draw, according to me Vikas and Gaurav have a comparatively better chance of making it to the Semi-Finals.

on the other hand,Shiva,Manoj,Amit,Sumit and Kavinder will be having a difficult Quarter finals on Paper but this doesn"t mean they cant win.

Lets see what happens,as first they have to win their Pre Quarters as well but we shouldn"t be surprised if we win 3 medals in these championships but nothing can be said in Boxing. So lets hope and pray but this time we have a great chance of increasing our overall tally drastically.

Yes guys,Feeling very sad for Sindhu. She had her chances,11-5 in the first set and also 19-17 in the third. In the end,I feel no one can have any complaint as both Sindhu and Okuhara left everything on the court.

It was a very high quality match and both of them gave their best efforts.Feeling sad but It seems Okuhara was destined to win that is why she won.

The thing which I liked the most about Sindhu  was the way she conducted herself after such a loss.On the face, she seemed happy and cool, however deep inside she would have been quite disappointed.

I guess sometimes" it happens that shit happens."
