Gaurav Bidhuri has reached the Semi-finals and is assured of atleast a Bronze Medal(My Prediction came true).
However,Amit lost against Uzbekistan(Current RIO Olympics Gold ).It was always going to be tough for Amit but after seeing Amit fight today,i can say that he is a very talented boxer and certainly a one to watch out for in the future.Even though the Scoreline may suggest otherwise, but he actually made it quite tough for his much fancied opponent.Still, great effort from him.
Kavinder, the third Indian boxer Will be fighting later tonight. Its a winnable fight for him.Lets see what happens.
As of now,Gaurav has secured himself and India of atleast a Bronze(Which is Equaled India""s best ever Tally at Boxing World Championships) which has been one bronze on three occasions as India"s all time Medal tally includes just 3 Bronze Medals.(Vijender,Vikas and Shiva being the 3 Medalist)
Good job by Gaurav. These three boxers Gaurav Bidhuri, Amit Phangal and Kavinder bisht have potential to win Gold Medal in next year Commonwealth Games and Asian games.
It will be extremely difficult for us to win a Gold at the Asian Games with the Form the Uzbekis and Kazakhstan have been in.
A Gold in Asian Games (I am talking about just the Gold,we can certainly win a medal),in terms of Comparison would be equal to getting a Medal at the Olympics/World Championships.
Even though we have won a medal but it would be very very tough as Currently the things stand.
Yes Asian Games is very competitive in Table Tennis, Badminton, wrestling, Boxing, Judo. Winning Gold Medal is equivalent of atleast a Bronze Medal of Olympics. Same way Commonwealth Games is extremely difficult in Athletics. Winning a Gold medal in Athletics of Commonwealth will be a miracle for us.
Bad I didn't intentionally dislike your comment . unfortunately instead of pressing like your comment I have pressed dislike . I didn't observe till morning
