I have been reading a lot about Indian Basketball players and National Team. How strong are we in Basketball?
Atleast 9 or 10 teams in Asia are better then us in Rankings. Atleast 5 or 6 teams are better then us in Commonwealth. We are not any medal prospect in either upcoming Commonwealth or Asian Games in Basketball. Commonwealth games draw has been declared Men's team Australia, England, Scotland, cameroon, Canada, New Zealand, Nigeria, India. How far can we go?
For Asian Games, Basketball will be even more formidable.
Commonwealth Basketball is also tough..I dont think we can beat any of those countries..Australia,England are Olympic materials...so also Nigeria,Canada..NewZealand beat some big teams in FIBA Asian cup recently The good thing is without a good league are boys are playing tremendously and literally matching big teams sometimes..few of them have also started playing abroad
ROONY previously indian basketball team is coached by usa coach he implemented better strategy we got some surprising results but in previous tournament coached by indian he didn't combined well with Indian team
@Bad Any other world championships of Olympic disciplines in 2017? I think weightlifting world championship will be held and India will send a strong team.
I hope Cedric D'souza get a chance again for national coach. Indians should get opportunity. Foreign coaches have not given us any Olympic medal. Indian coaches have an eye for talented players from domestic circuit. Foreign coaches just keep on repeating one small pool only.
