@souravindia You are right. Shooting, Wrestling, Weightlifting are three disciplines where competition is very very poor in Commonwealth Games. Our National Championship is more competitive then that. Atleast one can face challenge from other talented Indian athlete in National Championship, Commonwealth means straight Gold for Indians in these fields.
India will face China in the Finals of Asia Cup Hockey (Womens) on 5th November. India has already defeated China before in preliminary rounds. Winner of Asia Cup will qualify for World Cup Womens Hockey next year in London. Waiting for some expert comments from @Bad
@shibier FIH World Hockey League semi-finals is supposed to be held from 17th November in New Zealand. It is possible that China and South Korea, who are participating in that tournament, have fielded not the best team or are taking it easy. Also I would like to add that China, Japan, South Korea are now not that strong in womens hockey. They used to be formidable 10-12 years ago but as in every other country of Asia, Hockey both mens and Womens is in decline. Having said that, Lets hope India become Asian Champion.
