In Women"s hockey,we lack speedy and skillful forwards.Our Goals generally come from opposition Defence"s mistake rather than us creating goal scoring opportunities.2 goals in 3 matches showcases it.We have improved our Fitness but our understanding of the game is lacking big time.Our Defensive structure is decent but defenders lack awareness/basics.
Italy isn"t that bad a team ,Holland were simply too good.Italy just capitulated.
India can beat Italy but it is not going to be that easy.Its a 50:50 game in my opinion.The winner of this match will advance to the quarter-finals and face Ireland which is again a winnable match for both the teams.So,lots at stake in this match.
