According to the G1 news portal, the fire began at 05:10 (07:10 GMT) and was extinguished by 07:30.
None of the victims has been identified but players aged between 14 and 17 are known to have used the dormitory.
Those injured in the blaze and were taken to a nearby hospital, firefighters say.
The area has been hit by severe storms and heavy rain in recent days.
The weather may have left the facility without water or electricity when the fire struck, reports on G1 say.

The Ninho de Urubu ("Vulture's Nest" - so named because the symbol of the club is a vulture) centre underwent a major expansion last year, with the club spending 23m reals (£4.8m, $6.2m), Reuters news agency reports.
The site features accommodation for young players, several pitches, an aquatic park, a gym, a medical centre and a mini stadium.
The club were due to play their rivals Fluminense on Saturday. The game has been postponed, and other clubs have expressed their condolences.
Real Madrid player Vinícius Júnior, who also played for Flamengo, tweeted a crying emoji, writing, "Such sad news. Pray for everyone. Strength strength, strength."

Athila started training at the 'Geracao Futuro' school in Lagarto City and travelled to Rio de Janeiro for a trial at Flamengo at the end of March 2018, getting confirmation he would be staying with the club two weeks later. He played for the club in the Zico Cup later that year, scoring three times in the competition.
Bernardo Pisetta, 15 (goalkeeper)
Bernardo was a goalkeeper and arrived at Flamengo in August 2018.
Christian Esmerio, 15 (goalkeeper)
The 15-year-old goalkeeper was regarded as one of the club's brightest prospects and had represented his country at his age group and been scouted by foreign clubs.
Gedson Santos, 14 (midfielder)
Known as "Gedinho," he arrived at Flamengo in 2019 and was in his early days at the club after making an impression while playing for Atletico Paranaense.

Jorge began playing football aged seven at Democrata de Alem Paraiba, before joining Flamengo when he was 12. He was captain of the under-15 Rio champion team in 2018 and was set to start playing in the under-16 side.

Vitor Isaias was a striker and had been at the club for six months. Former Real Madrid and Brazil footballer Savio Bortolini posted a tribute on Instagram to Vitor, a player he called 'Vitinho'.

Odisha law student dies while playing football match in Calcutta
A 23-year-old student of National Law University Odisha collapsed and died on Saturday evening while playing football for his institution in an inter-university tournament at the SAI Complex in Salt Lake.
Ritwik Das, a fifth-year student, was part of a 50-member contingent from the law school participating in Invicta ’19, a sports competition organised by the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS).
The event started on February 8 and was to run till Sunday along with Outlawed ’19, the Calcutta institute’s annual festival. Both were suspended after Ritwik’s death, a member of the organising committee said.
According to a faculty member of the NUJS, Ritwik collapsed in the middle of a game. His teammates and a physiotherapist unsuccessfully tried to revive him before he was taken to AMRI Hospitals in Salt Lake, barely 500m away from the SAI Complex.
“He was taken to the hospital within 10 minutes but could not be saved,” the faculty member said.
An official at AMRI said Ritwik was declared dead on arrival around 3.50pm.
Ritwik was the son of Rashmi Ranjan Das, a joint secretary in the finance ministry, and mother Sumana Mohanty, a senior official of East Coast Railway in Bhubaneswar. The bereaved couple arrived in the city on Sunday and took their son’s body in a hearse to Bhubaneswar.
Their daughter Saranya Das works for a multinational company in Bangalore.
An officer of the Bidhannagar police commissionerate said a case of unnatural death had been registered but there was nothing to suggest that what happened on the ground was anything but a tragedy. “The young man just collapsed. He did not collide with any player and we have not received any report suggesting foul play.”
The findings of the post-mortem were not available till late on Sunday night.
According to a friend, Ritwik loved sport in general and was an accomplished football player. He was the convenor of his institution’s sports committee.
“Riki (Ritwik) was a very good football player and gelled well with everyone. He was instrumental in motivating all of us and getting sports equipment installed for our use on the campus. He had been coming to the NUJS fest since he joined law school. All of us are in a state of shock after his sudden death,” the student said.
Ritwik was a fan of the Premier League team Manchester United. His Facebook page has several photographs of the Manchester United players.
Ritwik’s uncle Siddharth Mohanty said his nephew, who was captaining the university team, felt some discomfort during the match but asked his teammates to continue with the match.
According to another member of the family, he had asthma but had managed to keep the medical condition under control through regular exercise and medication.
Manmeet Singh Goindi, director of SAI’s Eastern Centre, said the organisers of the law school festival had taken multiple facilities on rent till February 10.
“They had rented the football ground, cricket field, basketball and volleyball courts and the athletic track. The boy was rushed to the hospital as fast as we could and it is very unfortunate that he did not survive,” he said.
Panathinaikos v Olympiakos: Athens derby abandoned after violence
Greek Super League side Panathinaikos say they "condemn unequivocally" the violence that saw their derby against city rivals Olympiakos abandoned.
Sunday's match was called off with 20 minutes to go after two pitch invasions and fighting between fans and police.
Players on the visiting bench were attacked by Panathinaikos fans in the first pitch invasion after just four minutes at the Athens Olympic Stadium.
Olympiakos had been leading 1-0 and were awarded the victory.
"Panathinaikos FC condemns unequivocally every act of violence that took place at the Olympic Stadium and led to the permanent interruption of the derby," the club said.
It accused "a small minority of the 25,000 fans" of failing to respect football and added: "From the administration's point of view, absolute condemnation of all forms of athletic violence is essential."
It called on the Greek government to "finally show that it stands in the face of these events and find an effective way to definitively fight the violence in the stadiums".
Olympiakos midfielder Kostas Fortounis said it was "difficult" to play in the game and pointed out that Panathinaikos players had attempted to calm their fans down.
"Both we and Panathinaikos wanted to continue but when you enter the changing rooms twice and you go back, it's too hard," he added.
"It's tragic, I can not explain it. Getting into the stadium, chasing the players... I have no words."
The first trouble broke out minutes into the game, forcing an eight-minute stoppage.
More violence followed after Olympiakos went ahead through Miguel Angel Guerrero in the 53rd minute.
Riot police attempted to contain the disorder with tear gas but as the gas started to affect the players, referee Marco Fritz called the game off.
Panathinaikos are expected to be punished with a points deduction and fine.
