Bunch of overpayed jokers. High time ISL teams cut salaries to half or less. Paying so much for mediocracy is a crime. There is no motivation to work hard and try to play abroad bcoz of the absurd money being splashed.
Also goes to prove everyone that isl is just overhyped masala, and remaining closed doesnt help either. Further, Indian players are overwhelmed whenever there are no foreigners in their side and they have to face teams alone. Coach is also to be blamed, picking of players and formation wise. Manolo picked Udanta because he knew he will just step in and fill for Brandon. He is used to playing with him in FC goa. Don't want to blame him too much in part due to injuries, but the level of effort is clearly not there. When the 40 year old Sunil was the only guy pressing it was worrying. It wasn't just a case with udanta. It was a tactical blunder getting outplayed in midfield. Time and again since Stimac and now with Manolo, mid field play is not getting importance at all and with limitation of using only wings, that too most of your players cannot cross properly, you will see less and less chances being created. Frankly, while players cannot score, just have a look at Indias games and tell me how many clear chances we have created.
Not only that, sorry to say, even in isl, I have seen him utilise Nemil out of his normal position. To me, foreigners just lack confidence in Indian players, and that has percolated to the every neuron of these players brains. Don't tell me suddenly all countries have progressed and we are lying at same place, I have my doubts , with wrong selections, not knowing which formations suits your play, terribly afraid even when 1 good player is with opposition etc etc. Coach cannot cone out of criticism just blaming players. Sorry.
