Okay. Well in order to follow the Japanese model we need to get rid of the I-League 2nd Division and create a brand new I-League in which all the owners are in 100% agreement personally wise. Start with 8-10 teams and gradually build ourselves out and we should then encourage the teams to look abroad for coaches and players and make them leaders.
After that we will need to work on a proper youth system.

Yes, japan football league has interesting structure. More of fan/community/sponsor supported rather then PSU/corporation. But in third, fourth, fifth tiers, company, amateur, local clubs play. but for top 2 tiers, there are stringent rules.
Before J-league came into existence, Japan soccer league had teams from all its corporations-mitsubishi, honda, toyota, kawasaki, hitachi. They made revolutionary change. It will be interesting to know that how many Indian clubs are fans/community supported?
I honestly don't care if the PSU's play in the 3rd tier (state leagues for us). Its at the professional level we should get rid of them and focus on community.

Ohh man... so many similarities we alse have similar situation now with all company named clubs
I love how Sportskeeda have gone gaga over Dunga's comments.
First off let me explain where the J.League was when it started. Dunga was already 32 years old when he joined the J.League. Well into his prime still (proof being that Internacional signed him in 1999). The clubs were also still being funded heavily. ALL the clubs were region based and based on community building. The fans were coming in and a huge rise in youth football was upcoming. Heck a manager from the J.League (Arsene Wenger) signed with Arsenal!!!
For us to do all this we need to completely redo the I-League. Select a specific number for teams. Set squad rules and a salary cap. Stop the promotion/relegation nonsense and have a plan to restart pro/rel again in 2020 when we would have most state leagues developed by then. Thats the Japanese model... Indian style.
