that money is not good enough for u20 i league, and also a chunk of it is from Pailan, not AIFF
..so wht abt pailon sponsoring the u20 league (may be along with one or two other parties )
The only reason we should get rid of Pailan Arrows is if we are able to do two things:
1) Get the money to create a proper 6-7 month I-League U21 league with proper Academies taking place.
2) If we can trust that the core of the I-League clubs will actually play these youngsters regularly.
Currently I dont think we have the money to make a proper U21 league at this moment and also I dont think we can trust that the I-League players will play youth. That is why Papas is scouting the U20 league I believe because the team could consist of the better players from the U20 league.
Also look at the former Pailan Arrows group. Not many of them have made a name for themselves since leaving the team and some of them are not even starting anymore.
So, in short, the Pailan Arrows are remaining for a few more years.
Goa Football Development Council today (7/3/2013) announced that it is organizing the first football specific conference in India on March 15th and 16th, 2013, with a view to catalyze the football industry. On march 15- 16 Global delegates will discuss and chart the way forward and Chief Minister Shri Manohar Parrikar to launch the 1st ever football policy of the country.
Finally a Chennai team is a possibility. They should be called FC Rascalas and their sponsors should be some company called Mind it. Plus the Nehru stadium is a one of the best footballing venues in the country and the chennai crowd always shows up to local sporting events.

I see........
A Chennai team would be nice but I doubt that they can get fans at this moment.
