No player should be taking responsibility. Football is a team game and as a team India failed to do anything noteworthy other than make the final.

The AIFF really need to start thinking if they want to prove to the fans that they actually care about governing the sport here. No more silly gimmicks like the IMG-League unless they give good, concrete reason to do so. They need to take authority, look at the footballing personnel they have, look at the overall land-scape of Indian football, and create a plan for the short and long term.

Unless this is done then I think we should be prepared for more SAFF Cups like this one.

How this news of postponing Lusofonia Games will affect Indian Football and I-league?

http://www.navhindtimes.in/sports/lusofonia-games-postponement-inevitable

As we know that I-league matches in Goa are supposed to be held in Fatorda Stadium. Now that stadium was under renovation since last year for Lusophony games. infrastructure is still incomplete and now they will postpone it again from November to next year February or even more. I-league can be organised at Duler Ground but TV Telecast is not there. Not sure about availability of Vasco ground. But it is a matter of shame that our I-league grounds-be it Goa or Bengal are always under renovation.
Wgere are those Big Mouth people ranting about how things moving ahead of time unlike CWG )

Despite negative press and rumour mongering by media, CWG were held in time as per schedule and infrastructure was perfect. They never postponed it.

ha ha then can you tell me which stadium or athlete village was imperfect or incomplete??? Which infrastructure was incomplete? Media was desperate in cancelling the Games. They even said that nobody will come to watch in stadiums while I saw packed stadiums. Boxing, wrestling, Tennis events were sold out and so was hockey. Media and opposition supporters just wanted to malign the Games for their political agenda.
Can you tell me one event of Commonwealth Games which had shoddy facilities? Can you show one event which was delayed or suffered due to poor infrastructure?
