as per Maldives website, AIFF had offered to have friendly with them in October but FAM refused due to domestic schedule..However they are going to play friendly with India in March next year now

No use of these EPL clubs etc. Whats the use of just visit for marketing gimick. If they are interets than they should play aginst Indian team or clubs and hunt for talents in India and give a chance in its club. That would help Indian football.

I think it's better they support our Football Academies (grass-root) has select the best and train them in theirs abroad.

OR

Provide financial support to AIFF Football Academies, so that they funds or money could be used to improve the training facilities, infrastructure, healthy food, safety, players accommodation, friendlies against top sides and moreover, proper education.

Yup, Anyways back to the topic. We need the Friendlies to be in Chennai!!!

Chennai has shown decent crowd in Tennis and Hockey (WSH, India National Team) in the past. I am sure crowd will come for Football too. They have big stadium with floodlights in the center of the city.
From that BBC article "This summer former Rangers trainee Duffy, 29, became the third foreign player, alongside Frenchman Claude Gnakpa and Nigerian Chika Wali, to sign for Salgaocar in Goa, who claim to be "India's most popular football club"." LOL! )
