He is also expected to be the 2nd main striker in India next to Sunil so all eyes on him sense it is only an u22 tournament.</div><div style="font-family: Arial, Verdana; font-size: 10pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; "><br></div><div><font face="Arial, Verdana" size="2">Alwyn just because of what I have heard and the little I have seen of him. To be honest Romeo Fernandes was not that impressive in the I-League U20. He only did great in 1 match than scored the odd 1 goal in 3 other matches.</font></div>

on second thoughts - Romeo might start if we play 1 striker (likely as Arthur selected only 3 full fledged striker) and two attacking winger - In that case Lalrindika and Romeo will start

He couldn't make it to the final squad due to injury. He is a very important player donning the CDM position very effectively, and we don't have too many of them in that position who got experience. Pronay Halder will probably hold the position now. Apart from that we got Simranjeet, Ganeshan but they are inexperienced. In defence both Prathamesh and Deepak came from injury, Deepak was not playing for a while. All in all the defence might have some problems. Still perplexed over Ramandeep's exclusion.</span>

<font face="Arial, Verdana" size="2">Nice, inputs @rudra!! You did mentioned all the points regarding flaws of the article!! It seemed an article written in hosh posh!! </font><div style="font-family: Arial, Verdana; font-size: 10pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; "><br></div><div><font face="Arial, Verdana" size="2">Anyways, my major area of concern, as you mentioned lack of CDM. Pranoy is the first choice, but I do feel even Milan can do reasonable job. But the lack of physical player in that position can hurt India badly, specifically against Iraq and UAE. Other than, the team has shaped up reasonably nice. But compare to last few teams, current team seems to much more lethal in attack. Hope to see more goals from team this time.</font></div><div><font face="Arial, Verdana" size="2"><br></font></div><div><font face="Arial, Verdana" size="2">Even with all these criticisms, I must appreciate the effort in </font><span style="font-family: Arial, Verdana; font-size: small; ">writing</span><span style="font-family: Arial, Verdana; font-size: small; "> the article.</span>

@Reddevil -<div><br></div><div>Pranoy is actually very well built for a bengali lad...he got real good muscles!!!! He got some experience as he played matches for u19, and a few for Arrows. Hardworking fellow. But ofcourse, when facing teams like UAE its a very different scenario.</div><div><br></div><div>Yes, the attacking options look very good for an Indian squad. jeje, manandeep, Alwyn, Dika, romeo all in the same squad. Then we got people like Holicharan, Tirthankar, Milan. I am worried about defence, thankfully we got good goalies</div>
  • Rudra who do you think will be the backline?
  • rudrarudra 2958 Points
<div>A lot depends on fitness</div><div><br></div>CB - Prathamesh Maulingkar, Deepak Devrani (But from Arthur's comment on Deepak's fitness, I feel he wont start, he didnt play a single game In Bangalore), Shouvik Ghosh (normally a LB) can play as CB too. I dunno if Narayan Das has impressed Arthur, otherwise I dont see him in XI.<div><br></div><div>Wing backs/Full backs - Right - Abhishek Das/Pritam Kotal. Left - Shouvik Ghosh (dont think there are other options in left unless Arthur got Pritam Kotal to switch position or Vishal Kumar Ravindra -no arrows game this season - has impressed him)</div>
