Panch I have seen many J. League matches. It is actually the most shown non-euro and south american league in the USA because they show 2 matches at Saturday morning. Once at 12 am my time (9pm in Western United States) and again at 3am (12am in Western United States) + at around 7 the 24 hour soccer channel shows us a good 30 minute highlight show. Anyway so yes I have seen the league many times and sure its not as good at the EPL or La Shita, or even Serie A but J.League is still considered one of the top leagues. Some say the 7th best in the world.

Yep in the next 6-8 years I see this...
A good 60,000 to 80,000 seater Salt Lake Stadium (when putting in bucket seats everywhere in the stadium the capacity decreases). A good 20,000 seater Cooperage with bucket seats. A good 15,000 to 20,000 seater Bangalore Football Stadium with bucket seats. A new remodeled Kaloor International Stadium that is renovated into a football ground (the Kerala Cricket Board said they are making a new stadium for cricket so Kaloor will become all football) and maybe it will have a good 40,000 capacity with bucket seats. A new better 25,000 seater Paljor Stadium in Sikkim with bucket seats and a new JNS in Shillong with 25,000 capacity with bucket seats. A new redeveloped Fatorda Stadium with 20,000 bucket seats and hopefully a Dempo Stadium and Churchill Stadium (each with 30,000 capacity). Also the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune would have a second tier to it making it 25,000 capacity)
Then the league would look like this in 6-8 years,

Mohun Bagan AC
East Bengal FC
Siliguri United FC (Prayag United are moving to Siliguri in 2012)

Great observation. Absolutely doable. Here are my take on your excellent I-league composition for future:
Bangalore FC can be a franchisee (Franchisees will be allowed in future, as per Kushal Das), instead of the useless HAL. Franchisees may be installed in N Delhi, Hyderabad & Chennai as well.
Instead of Ernakulam FC (I’m not sure if such a club exists), you may consider Kozhikode FC (old club – taken over by some private group – exists as Chandini FC, which nobody follows; should revert to its original avatar), or better still, Malabar United, but they have to qualify.
Dempo, Salgaocar may continue if they suffix some local place name to their name, no need to merge with something else because each has good management. Churchill may go back to their original name Verca FC (doesn’t it sound like Barca?).
I’m curtailing my imagination so as to keep the league a 16-team affair.

2) I dont see us being a slower Malasyan Football version. For inststince the Malasyan Super League is done in conferences. And while I agree it is a good style to run a football I cant see the AIFF ever going in that direction as they seem to be aiming for another English Premier League and/or J.League type league. The Malasyan way is nice though I will admit. The MLS uses it and I like it but this is the AIFF. There is a reason they went to Japan and came back happy. They will model off the J.League and maybe the EPL as well do to admiration of that league.
