According to this TOI report, the decision has been taken to give Indian players more opportunities apart from reducing expenditure on international players.

"Significantly, from the six international players which can  be signed by a club, only three need to be pre-approved by the organisers. The other three international players are entirely left for the clubs to decide.

The I-League also allows registration of six international players with five being allowed to take the field."

Ah, so now they are giving chance for ISL teams to save money and sign random Africans/Brazilians just like old times :D

What do you mean by "why not"?

When you say that a person is speaking bullshit, it means that you do not agree with him. Then why do you put a like sign on his comment?

In the recent past too, whenever he has posted some info/insider information, you have virulently disagreed with him and posted comments like "you don't know anything", "you spout bullshit" etc (not the exact words maybe but conveying the same sense). Then suddenly when you are in need of some information/insider information, you start asking him for details. My point is, when you do not trust a person or his sources or find his views so very disagreeable (as is evident to any IFN member from your conversations with him), why should you ask him for details/information? There should be some consistency in your views and comments.

Putting a dislike sign is a very soft option, my friend; it takes courage to argue logically and coherently

Good decision to reduce foreign players but if they are concerned about the clubs the the first thing they should do is to reduce franchisee fees.

The change in approved signings is also a good thing. Probably influenced by players like Manzi and Nestor.

Manzi and Nestor would have been approved in ISL, they came from Spanish 3rd tier which is where most of the Jamshedpur Spanish players came from

I guess this guy decides the future of Indian football as per his proposed roadmap, with minor adjustments to accomodate others. he wants teams from new states and expand it to 23 states.

So ISL will be like 12 teams (ATK merge with MB) and then 2 new teams from Hyderabad and Ahmedabad (2 new states) . East Bengal will be punished for rebelling against AIFF and CCFC owner has already told that he is willing to play in 2nd tier next season.

6 foreigners in 19-20 and then 5 foreigners in 20-21. Then reduce it to 4 in 21-22 and stop with that to satisfy FPAI

Ileague 1 - same 10 teams which played last season with MB not there & Shillong lajong relegated . 3 foreigners and u telecast it like last year. Quess East Bengal will protest and pull out of ileague - bring in one new club from Odisha (Cuttack) or Rajasthan or Umumba. CCFC can sell 2 foreign players

Ileague 2 - same like last season

Nothing is going to happen with these ileague clubs rebelling . Infact they just steamrolled Salgoacars and Dempo , which are heavy weights with considerable influence.

UMumba are crap - they are unable to handle MDFA Elite division,  getting beaten now and then- they will get fried if they participate in ILeague 1.

Indian coaches to need AFC pro licence to work in ISL from next season .
