The Gaurs secured a spot in the preliminary round of Asia’s second-tier club competition after winning the Super Cup in May, where they defeated Jamshedpur FC in the final.
In another West Region qualifier, Tajikistan’s FC Regar-TadAZ will face Ahal FC of Turkmenistan. Both single-legged preliminary ties will be held between August 12 and 13.
The winner of each match will advance to the group stage, which features 16 teams per region and kicks off on September 16. The three losing teams from the preliminary round will drop into the 2025-26 AFC Challenge League group stage.
FC Goa have announced the squad that will lock horns with Al Seeb in the ACL 2 preliminary round clash on August 13, 2025, at the Fatorda. The Gaurs have been preparing hard for this must-win encounter as the qualification to the group stage is on the line.

Mohun Bagan Super Giants will be the direct entrant from India after winning the ISL shield and being crowned the 2024-25 champions. After accumulating 56 points from 24 games, Mohun Bagan qualified for the AFC Champions League Two after a historic campaign.
Interestingly, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr has secured qualification for the AFC Champions League Two by finishing third in the Saudi Pro League standings, which means Al Nassr could face Mohun Bagan Super Giant next season. Both the teams have entered the group stage directly from the West region.
The draw for the group stage will be held on August 15.
