let me make things clear. we(at least me) are not showing sympathy towards AIFF. I m protesting the immoral behaviour of NP Pradeep. A man at his position shud speak responsibly.

Immoral? That's a little excessive no? None of the parties involved are children. While obscenity isn't exactly a redeeming virtue, it is surely not deserving of the tantrum the AIFF is throwing. And in any case, the AIFF isn't just riled up by the obscenity. Chhetri was very guarded in his comments and they show caused him as well. They just don't like anyone speaking up against them, which is very undemocratic. And it isn't just the AIFF. Most organizations in India are the same. BCCI, Congress I, BJP, just to name a few, have banned/thrown out members for speaking out against them.

Chhetri wasn't show caused.

Pradeep used words such as f**k etc directly when an AIFF official was present, which is quite immature considering that he has been capped more than 50 times & is 27 years old.

Ok. So u mean if two people are old enough, no matter wat position they hold they can freely use obscene slangs against each other? How about our PM Manmohan Singh saying, "That mo****fu***r Zardari is breeding terrorists" or Obama issuing a statement "Osama is fu**ed up!". Sounds good, isnt it?

I am not saying AIFF is right in everything. It needs to be strong. Every organisation everywhere in the world takes action against its members who speak against it. If they do not, god save their sovereignty. That doesnt mean one cannot raise voice against injustice. But there are more civilized ways to protest.

And anyway, removing Bob as coach was, in my opinion, no injustice. If Pradeep wanted to show love for Bob, he could say few good things abt him like Renedy and others did.

This wud have been a even a big issue if commented by an cricketer..news channels wud have shown that again and again and BCCI wud have taken steps....Just bcoz footballers dont get so much attention they think they can say watever in social sites....many footballers openly give careless comments in facebook/chat like saying how a fellow footballer was dropped for bad performance rather than injury etc....
If we want AIFF to be professional, the players also need to be so...u cant just openly say this about ur parent body (of course he knows that with Bob gone, his chances in the team is almost Zero)...if AIFF doesn't take a strong stand now then in future every footballer will start abusing AIFF for sacking their fav coach (and ticket to national team)...this is something we dont want...AIFF's way of handling Bob's case was very bad and that was something that sud have been dealt by media...players sudn't take the case in there hands...what sunil did was ok...AIFF totally messed that up...but abt Pradeep, I support AIFF

Let me borrow the famous phrase of Mohinder Amarnath which he used against the BCCI a few decades earlier, he called the selectors 'a bunch of jokers' that statement was so powerful that politicians who controlled the game at all levels began giving in to the cricketers some responsibilities after that. I feel the evil people who control football in India are a bunch of morons who are hell bent to keep Indian football the same for 100 years. I love N.P.Pradeep football, & the members who accuse him wrongly are ignorant of the sacrifices the same players make.

India's 83 million
football fans are a
testament to a sport
rapidly on the rise
across the
subcontinent
Despite such
grassroots support
however, India's
national team ranks
146th globally
Experts blame poor
international exposure
and bad management
for the state of Indian
football
AFC and FIFA are trying
to improve the game
by injecting funding
for infrastructure(CNN website)My question is how much percentage of this money will go in the big pockets of the officials?

I really don't see any connection between this and Pradeep abusing AIFF.

Hey Jose the question you are asking on CORRUPTION in no way related to the incident. We(those who are supporting AIFF in this incident) know that AIFF is not squeaky clean in some respects and the new members need some time to shake off this image. We also donot agree always with all of their decision(example the MANNER in which Bob was sacked although I wanted Bob to be sacked a lot earlier). But respect is earned only by giving others respect and the manner in which Bob was sacked deserve none but to insult AIFF in such words is not a good example. He was an international player and for that reason he needs to be extra careful. Other National team players also opposed but they kept it in reserve. Answer me this if you are in an office and boss gives a promotion to less desrving candidate would you insult your boss like this?
