I dont thing the jeje logic of he played this much and scored this many means if he had played more then he wud have scored more - really holds true.<div>Derrick Parreira has handled him for yrs now, knows what to do with him and has guided his team to an impressive record, he used him as he tht best...maybe jeje dont have the fitness to play full 90 mins, maybe he wastes lots of chances...sometimes coaches dont care if the player is actually scoring, as long as moga scores he cares about the player's assists etc (strikers dont always score, they provide support to the other striker).</div><div>Remember Pune FC or any club (except arrows) dont have any responsibility of providing us with the best indian striker, they need to survive and its a proven fact that the foreigners, however shit they are are still better goal scorers than the Indian strikers, except a few. I know this thread is abt topscorer(Indian) but what about other positions.We need better forwards(i 100% agree) but does that mean we don't need better midfielders or defenders.<br><br>Our Forwards don't have sufficient speed,dribbling and finishing ability but if you ask me to rate ourselves on three parameters i.e.I would say:<br><br>1)Attack-60/65<br>2)Midfield-50-55<br>3)Defence - less than 50<br><br>Our strikers are still decent(we still lack in finishing although Sunil is decent).Where we lack i think is creativity in Midfield and composure in Defence.<br><br>As i have previously said only Sunil,Subrata and Nabi deserve a place from the squad which was played in challenge cup qualifiers.<br><br>Rest 8 slots are up for grabs. <br>
No @Bad! Subrata can't even get into Prayag 1st XI but u think that he deserve a place in NT and you criticized Wim for not selecting the best performers of I-league in CCQ. Isn't that unfair?
I accept that i said most of the performers(form wise) who should have got the chance weren't played but in case oF Subrata Paul Wim made an exception as he played Sandeep in one the friendlies (Against Palestine) where we lost 4-2.<br><br>To be honest,there were at least 2 goals which shouldn't have gone in.The first one(Volley from edge of the box i think he got beaten near post and even if it was not his near post than also it was savable.)<br><br>Next was the 4th goal where the attacker (opponent) turned Gouramangi inside out two times(no surprises) and the ball went between Sandeep's legs.<br><br><br>So, Wim gave Sandeep a chance which i think was tough for SANDEEP to come back at the age of 38 and prove himself and since the result was not positive so Wim once again resorted to his best keeper(atleast Internationally) <br><br>

I am disappointed with Manandeep.....2 goals in 18 appearances is horrible. Same can be said about Robin Singh who had 3 goals in 11 appearances. I really thought that one of these physical players will do well. Sad part is that they will probably get selected in the national team because we might need their services though they don't have much to offer. I hope it's not too late for either of them to improve as they are 20 and 23 years old respectively.
