I'm breaking another very sad news, plz don't kill me guys.
i-league rights too sold to News Time. There is a very less chances of getting a national broadcaster for india's premier footballing league. Very very sad state of indian football
I think this is partly true. There always been a plan to rope in regional partners for I League because a national broadcaster is not too keen on showing all the matches. So AIFF plans to rope in multiple regional telecast partners to improve on coverage. There would be a national broadcaster in all probabilities. For Fed Cup the News Time and another regional channel bid was much much higher than the national broadcaster. So AIFF had no options left. <!-- s:handgestures-thumbdown: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/handgestures/thumbdown.gif" alt=":handgestures-thumbdown:" title="Thumb Down" /><!-- s:handgestures-thumbdown: -->

I league TV rights bought by Calcutta channel News Time. They will show Fed Cup 2. So,national sports channels r nt interested abt soccer?
this is what Rupayan Bhattacharya (senior sports journalist of ABP) twitted last night.

Fed Cup being telecast on Newstime which is only available in WB. When will the AIFF realize that people outside WB also watch football!
chirag tanna (pune football club's boss) twitted this last night. He sounds very disappointed

I can see few more clubs disbanding after this season. !!

Then we can disband AIFF and make IFA(Kolkata) as main federation and turn I-League into K-League.
