    i kind of agree with ur point. Being I league runners is more creditable than winning a Cup tournament. There should be a play-off

    I am really excited today as my views on players cap on matches got an unexpected backing from the Salgaoncar coach himself (in an interview on O Heraldo today). Maybe somesh may agree with me
    now
    The 40 matches cap that the AIFF have imposed on i-league players should be scrapped, instead a win-win situation for clubs & the federation can be created by selecting top 60 players for the 40 matches cap per season (including U-23squad) or so which can be called up for national duty & the rest can be allowed to play any number of matches.

    Where are "TOP 60" players? AIFF wont even find 30 players suitable for NT. And anyway, why do u think those who dont get national call ups shud work like donkeys. Also, no-one knows who will get national call except for few set players. so theres no point in ur point

    I want that the clubs should have a counter right at the stadium where their fans can purchase jerseys or flags of the team before the start of the match.
    I just now received the news that one of the top i-league club is in the process of implementing the above, of opening a merchandise section right at the stadium.

    I guess Dempo,they have Nike as a sponsor.I love their new kits If I were in Goa I would be ready to slash out Rs 2000-3000 for the jersey. Although I'm pretty sure it won't be priced so much.

    Suppose they sell following things they could earn a decent amount(Just my aggregates) :-
    Home Jersey = 15,000 x 700(cost of each jersey) = 1,05,00,000
    Flags = 20,000 x 100(cost of each flag) = 20,00,000
    Caps = 6000x80(cost of each cap) = 4,80,000
    Polo shirts = 2000x700(cost of each shirt) = 14,00,000
    Key Chains = 1000x50(cost of each key chain) = 50,000

    They can also sell Away Shirts,shorts,players signed jersey's,GK kit,balls but all these things are too in Indian scenario.

    if ashwin's idea and plan is achieved, then they would be getting 1,44,30,000.....does this amount sounds good for the club like dempo who spend some big amount to keep its players???this amount may sound good for mumbai fc/prayag utd/pune fc....but this amount is surely less for top teams to be satisfied.....
    these amount may be good ...but not enough for the team of caliber of top goan and kolkatta teams...
    for rest of teams in league i would be more than satisfied to see this amount

    I agree buddy but I doubt if Indians ready to spend Rs 1500-4000 per jersey as done in Europe,also number of fans is very less.

    Now we can do similar calculation with Kolkata clubs but problem is majority of their fans come from lower middle class and find it hard to spend Rs 700 when they can actually get duplicate jersey for Rs 100 in streets.
