This is a problem young indian players have. Because they were a star in their former small team,they play most games and play well/hard/score goals to get in a bigger team. As soon as they go to a big team where there are already even better players & bigger stars. So they don't as many games they used to get in thire former team. What they do??? Get depressed,don't work hard to get better in what they do. Naturely they get even less game time. And one good prospect goes down the drain.
I think we are lucky then that Manandeep seems to be only getting better. 4 goals in 5 games at the Federation Cup says a lot and I am sure that eventually he will get better than Chidi Edeh. From looking at all of Edeh's goals it seems to be just the matter of him being at the right place at the right time (And in the case of the last goal against Salgaocar just stupidity from Karanjit and the SAL defense).
Hopefully guys like Subhash Singh, Holicharan, Pradeep Mohanraj (midfielder) and Alwyn George (midfielder) dont go into that category. Hell even Jeje when he gets back on form.
Also another example would be Romeo Fernandes... great player but in that I-League game, from all accounts he was not good. All of a sudden he plays in a GPL game and scores. Shows the level of difference.
