Breaking news: Prayag United have given a walkover in their final group league CFL match against East Bengal, which was scheduled for January 15, because of the trip to Pune ahead of their away I-League match against Mumbai FC on January 19..

    Mr Nabab Bhattacharya Tweeted:

"We have given East Bengal club walkover in the next Kol League group league match in the bigger interest of Bengal Football.."
He also Added "Since our team is pre scheduled to go to Pune for playing against Mumbai FC on 19th.This match is to be played on 15th and we can't field any sort of team even with the reserve players. "

  • Thats why Teams have a big squad. It happens all around the world. English clubs play for Premier League on weekends and Champions Trophy in middle of the week. Add to that international friendlies.

  • And they have Reserve teams. Look at Pune FC. They have I-League yet they still send the U19 and U17 squads to the Pune Super League and they send their Reserves to the All India Gold Cup and the results have been very positive.

And Prayag do have a big squad. They just know that the Prayag United reserves would get a thrashing.
