This was needed. There is huge disparity in the standards among the Asian nations. We need more competition. Now it looks like we have new powers to match the regulars like Korea, Japan, Iran and Saudi Arabia. Only may be Japan is much ahead of others, of European standards
Well India should be happy after what Jordan has showed here.You guys know whats working for them ??? Its the Academies set up by FIFA saw that on Fifa futbol mundial majority of its current players were produced there.
Ya but that still wont help Jordan. They wont make the World Cup in 2013 (Qualification ends in 2013) and who knows how high those Academies can help... everything has its limits. Until the Jordan FA professionalizes the Jordan Premier League I dont see Jordan making the World Cup. Japan will make it and Australia will beat Iraq, Oman, and Jordan.
