Baichung was more lethal in the penalty area than Sunil though the latter has scored more number of goals. Baichungs assets were his agility, around the ball turn and acceleration. Acceleration is something which Sunil lacks.
Sunil though is more versatile as he can also run on the wings as well as midfield.

Techinically Baichung is a better player than Sunil.

Bhaichung was a typical number 9, the best India has produced in last 30 years. Sunil is more of a number 10 who can also play as a winger. Sunil is more versatile as a player while Bhaichung was more lethal as a box striker.

Baichung was a better player than Chhetri and more gifted but he massively declined post 30s

He was a liability back in 2009-2011 

Chhetri massively improved with age and is carrying India at 34. His fitness and dedication is unmatched.

In those days, many National Team players used to come from Tata Football Academy and possibly age was compromised there.

Baichung, Vijayan, Sunil came without that TFA background and excelled !!!

Just curious, how many players out of present NT are from Tata Football Academy background ??

Bhaichung was atleast 18 when he debuted for East Bengal, I was there in the stadium that day. His official age was given as 15. Sadly a Bhaichung, Chettri, Jeje, Changte can get away with age fraud however a Mukhi can't because of their ethnicity.
