Can anyone point out neutrally the positions of the two parties? Apparently it looks like SCL is trying to gobble up EB, and the club is trying to save itself.
Also, there was some talk of adopting the ATK-MB model, even though that was a merger, and not just an investor getting in. If that is an workable model, can that be followed? Is there need for a third party as overseer?
Only EB officials can save east Bengal fc, they should break the deal and withdrew from ISL and play in CFL only until they find a genuine sponsor like kingfisher
Chennai City FC owner Rohit Ramesh seeks de-recognition of Tamil Nadu Football Association
Rohit Ramesh, owner of former I-League champion Chennai City FC, on Monday, wrote to All India Football Federation (AIFF) general secretary Kushal Das seeking the de-recognition of the Tamil Nadu Football Association (TFA).
He has also proposed to the National Federation that he plans to register a new entity under the Companies Act to function as the State Association (TFA) “to protect and promote the interests of football in Tamil Nadu.”
Rohit, also the president of Chennai Football Association (CFA), in his letter, alleged that the TFA has failed to conduct competitions and put roadblocks towards the conduct of the CFA league, which has not been held since 2018.
“The TFA, as per the Constitution of AIFF, is required to compulsorily conduct competitions both at a State level and a District level under Article 14(2)(k). However, neither does the TFA conduct competitions, nor does it allow districts including CFA conduct such competitions. In doing so, they have also acted in violation of the interests of Indian football and AIFF, thereby also violating Article 14(2)(o),” Rohit's letter said.
He further wrote: “..the TFA has presided over the death of more competitions within the state. This is a clear violation of Article 62 of the Constitution of the TFA itself.”
Speaking to Sportstar, a TFA source said it has fulfilled all its obligations as far as holding State events in all categories in 2019-20 are concerned. “The last event we conducted was the State women’s league in March this year before COVID-19 struck and AIFF asked us to stop all the activities,” the source added.
Our biggest problem is we have to spend money heavily on defence for our security because we share our boundary with two rogue nations - China and Pakistan. That leaves lesser government money to spend for essentials like Health, Education, infrastructure.
It is all about sporting culture involvement and interest in a particular demographic.
There are lakhs of Indians living in Europe, North America Africa Caribbean. Not many athletes or sportsman coming out of them. Have you heard of a Patel running 5000m for Kenya or a Reddy playing Rugby in England or a Singh running 100 m for Canada or a Sharma Quarterback in American Football at Chicago ? All they are good at is Spelling Bee which is mugging up !!!
In a canadian city, if there are 1 lakh Indian and 100 Jamaicans, chances are that children of those 100 Jamaicans will beat kids of those 1 lakh indian in most of the sports. All that while studying in same canadian school
We need to encourage sports as a compulsory subject at schools, give extra credit for sports while getting admission in colleges, job reservation for sportsman in private sector, Development of BEd type degree related to sports and making it mandatory for schools to employ sports teacher etc. Sports will pick up in india once it is seen as a career enhancement.

In SC-EB case it seems like Shree Cement wants the entire club with all its assets and control over intellectual property. This looks fishy.

Population of WB 90 million
