Guys, why we dont have any thread for the Youth leagues happening now? Frankly not getting any update what is going on. Whether any scouts available in these matches, where can we get highlights etc. We speak in tjis forum a lot about improving youth football, but theres no separate threads for such leagues?
I requested for the same earlier. Major upgrade from last season with 59 teams participating..Looks like we have a pretty good league going on and some solid players currently in action. Very impressed by the pacy RFY team. Their crossing and heading ability has also been top notch. Not familiar with their names but there are definitely some stars in the making..As I type this they have just beaten EB 3-2 after Jangra scored from a freekick..Solid rivalry between RYFC and Mumbai City going on for the top spot. RYFC is U-19 while Mumbai is U-21. Ayush Chikkara has joined the national stage and already scored 3. Yet to see a goal from Gyamar Nikum MB has a very good team too. I was surprised when EB beat them but it was an amazing and passionate game as always.India U-20 player Tyson has scored a few for MB NE has not been doing well but Parthib Gogoi has 2 goals coming on as a sub each time.
We should host our AFC Cup Qualifiers from here in the future. Our team can prep few days in advance here and then invite other teams here just before. Just like how Bolivia occasionally beat Brazil/Argentina by inviting to La Paz. This could be one of those stadiums.
AIFF’s top officials discuss Indian football with counterparts from Belgium
Chaubey and Prabhakaran were greeted by Royal Belgian Football Association president Paul Van den Bulck, CEO Peter Bossaert, operations director, football, Jelle Schelstraete, and advisor Hedeli Sassi at the football body's headquarters.
No matter what others feel, I think having Kalyan Chaubey as AIFF president has been the best decision in a long long time. He is hitting all the right buttons.
@souravindia I am neutral in my opinion. Some of the moves looked like eye wash like the trip to Belgium. Some were actually good like paying min wage of 3 lakh for women players. Club don't have the money to pay. So he is getting the center to offer jobs to the players so their wage will be paid by the state and not club. That was impressive since he considered the issue from both sides. Only time will tell how these get implemented.
Involving former players in scouting and coaching with education is a step n the right direction. The more qualified coaches at junior level, the better players will learn. I quote from an interview in youtube I saw of our legendary coach Rahim-' aiff should train and involve former players and create a base to build the futue'. Unfortunately it took decades to pay heed to his simple solution
