"This raises the question of whether Indian players prioritise high wages over playing competitive football in Asia.'
Isn't that obvious. 1.77 for Gurpreet , 3 cr + for Anwar , what a waste of money . Now that we are discussing on this topic , South Korea,China,Japan and even Indonesia have clearly understood the superiority of Europen Football . A lot of their billionaires have bought clubs in the Dutch , Belgian and other europen leagues and have been training their young players there before signing them or sending them to other european clubs . Here we can't even get the basic things done . AIFF and football administration in this country is a big L .
2 interesting fact raise by Manolo in one of his interviews is regarding scheduling of isl matches everyday instead of only weekends and it's impact to national team. Because matches rae held everyday, before national camp , players start attending the camp on diff days with players from clubs playing last coming probably only a day prior. Means coaches hardly get time to train. This isn't the case outside where because of weekend matches , national coaches get enough time with the team
I think at the least isl could do is make sure before the fifa dates, we have a full stop to schedule, during previous weekend. They can compensate on other week days
Why the hell is Jitin MS Not there. At the moment he is probably the best in his position, speed , stamina, intelligence, sends dangerous balls , good passing ability. It's strange really

I don't get it if someone like VP singh or Liston can make it. Why the hell would we not take Jitin?. He can do well in progressive play. I hope Manolo is the one picking squad and not some quota system.
If I were the coach I would have sat Anwar for his antics. He should show he is on form to be in NT setup. Everyone is being given a easy walk in. No consequences.
