Wim should stay @mohammed_87hassan We will never get a coach with as good of a resume again for the price we get Wim. Wim has done an acceptable job so far and he should coach us during this next cycle. He knows Indian football, he has a future plan. It is perfect for us.
i dont know whether we can get somebody better than wim but do feel he has done injustice to his own talent through poor selection the way he made us play in saff final n semis
he made us look like the boss of saff had he only picked somebody who could have scored we would have routed teams but he chose jeje robin when india provided dika balwant
Not that I expect a world beating side, but Wim's poor performances against teams like Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal a bit too much to digest. I think we can do better than that.
The worst i feel was the loss to myanmar. the biased draw against bangladesh cant be termed as a coachs fault as it was played without a camp.Dont overestimate indian players when comparing with bangladesh
How? Balwant Singh did nothing special before the SAFF Cup. This was apparently his first I-League season since 2011. Back then he only scored 1 goal in the I-League. He was totally unknown going into the SAFF Cup and then after it he started to fire in the goals and as soon as that came apparent Wim selected him to the India team. From then his selection was based purely on how he did in training under Wim's watch.
Look, Wim is not perfect, he will not always make the right picks for the squad, no coach does. I would rather have seen England select John Terry and used Ashley Cole over Jagielka or Baines but Roy Hodgson thought differently. I would have rather the US used Landon Donovan but Jurgen Klinnsman thought differently. Not every selection will be perfect.
Wim right now has the a good basis for a long-term plan. The u22 squad camp is the perfect chance to test some players out and to start building a team for the 2018 FIFA World Cup and 2019 AFC Asian Cup and the 2016 Olympics.
