To be frank, even I was confused for a while. There was some sort of discussion during the group matches that the group leaders will have the advantage of hosting the quarter-final which implies that there should be only one match. However, now it seems that it is a two-legged fixture!

Yes that was for Round of 16. This Quarterfinals (Round of 8) is supposed to be home and away format. Ditto for Semifinals.
Kuwait clubs seems to have worst Stadium attendance. And those clubs go all the way to Finals with average attendance of around 1000. Yesterday's East bengal figure of 30000 was the biggest crowd at AFC Cup 2013 so far.
Fans are fans!!!! I think that it is mistake of club management that they did not anticipate such big crowd and did not sell/print enough tickets. Normally Calcutta clubs do not get more then 10000 crowd for AFC Cup.
Free ticket fans !! atleast they are coming to watch their team playing . In middle east it is different story , organizers pay 50 Riyal/Dhms per head to asian and african labors to come and watch the home teams game. Even transportation is also arranged from labor camps to the stadium and return. I was stunned when i saw in a world cup qualifying match nepali labors coming in a group and they were asked to wear the white long arabic dress distributed by the organizers and seated in the home team stands. So in the television cameras they will be seen as local fans cheering for the home team. They are paid for the same !!
