There's no such thing called the best squad, because judging players is very subjective, also coach's strategy matters a lot
  • Current fitness, physique and defensive/attacking strategy of the coach for the match determines who will get selected for the game. starting for Club and starting for International match is very different.

That is understood. But including sushil ahead of abrances and mangi ahead of mondal. I dont really understand.

Sushil is a perennial puzzle in Indian football. One needs to have there own theories now.

Abt Abranches - You cant judge a player by no. of goals he has scored, how is scoring what kind of moves he is making is very important. if the coach feels the kind of moves which abranches excels in getting the goals from are not what he will get in his setup, then its a diff story

defense is not something coaches experiment too much, mangi now is the most experienced of the CBs and there is no question of putting him out.

In this way you could also had argued what subrata is doing? prayag dont even give him the no. 1 spot. but wim probably dont want to change a lot at one go...every yr. this story repeats, if you follow the team from nehru cup onwards u can see a slow change happening. no point changing everything at one go. plus he doesnt have much time to prepare, so he needs his initial players

Of course. Continuing to tarnish the goal of what the AFC Challenge Cup was set-up to do. Instead of developing domestically lets focus on using guys who probably have never been to our country before.

    Brilliant.

But given the political and social situation in Palestine, i cant really blame them. For countries like Afghanistan and Palestine, who have so much problems in the country, putting resources for youth or sports development can't be priority. But the people still need some entertainment and something to boast about and there comes the need to assemble such teams.

But if India starts doing the same, there's no excuse for that.

Still dont agree with need of challenge cup after 2015 if no auto slots...
