The IMG R tournament is creating a confusion among certain I-League players who wanted to change Clubs. Rahim Nabi, Sanju Pradhan, Subroto Paul, Ishfaq Ahmed etc. could have been roped in by I-League Clubs but for their indecision and or hasty decision they are in a spot of bother. I don't know what this proposed tournament will improve in Indian Football. Some EDP (Expiry Date Passed) Stars will earn huge money which could have been better utilized in making I-League and Federation Cup much more attractive. 2013-14 Footballers' Transfer has certainly been affected by this unwanted tournament and Baichung Bhutia after ensuring the fate of United Sikkim is now misguiding prospective young talents. A player like Sandsh could have been a good buy for most of the I-League teams but he is in IMG R radar. We can only hope that I-League and Federation Cup both are given due importance in Football Calendar because our Football hope is linked with I-League & Federation Cup and not IMG R tournament.

No please not again, they are looking to compete against Bayern fan base in India. Chettri would definitely reject this.

PR stunt as Bundesliga is shown on TV in India. So media managers show their interest and some trials to win some fan base. Similar to what Bayern Munich and Audi organise events with Baichung Bhutia. By the way if Sunil Chhetri can earn some money by associating with their sponsors, then its not bad. Forget the idea that he will be playing for Borussia Dortmund side. These are just tactics to get some news coverage.
