I agree with @gaffertape about India don't having striker like robin. I mean how many times have we seen a striker from centre of the field tries to back pass and concedes a corner )
Not to mention the open goal misses he manages every other day.
The only reason Wim and Westwood like him is his physique, and then we complain why clubs want Africans who can bulldoze their way into opponent goals.
In the stadium you will lot's of chant about Robin as if he is some star, but if you actually sit with the guys, esp. the Rs. 50 seats (forgot which block is that), he is the most trolled footballer, most of the chant is mixed with sarcasm. Everyone's ok because BFC ends up winning most games, I don't think crowd would have been so forgiving otherwise. As they say, when you are winning everything goes.
Not a fair assessment as you rightly pointed out 3 away games each for Kolkata and Goa teams are actually home games. If I had to do a similar analysis, I would classify those 'away' matches as home matches
Btw Robin is shit at BFC... If BFC was in other side of table he would be out sometime ago. He causes unnecessary talks with referee, runs mad with ball, he dont pass/assist. Shoots like full stadium is goal post.... But he is famous though!!!!
That is my problem with Robin. He is not good enough to be a main striker or the lead striker. He is meant to feed balls and create attacks... the sooner he realizes this the better.
We have this thing called Goal.com in on the world wide web and in the standings it tells you who won the games at home & away as well as a cumulative standings list.
Then I used this brilliant program called Xcel and calculated those.
Working on some end of season stats as we speak...some interesting numbers in the scoring charts...
