Why can't India U-23 play a practice match against stronger team i.e. FC Viktoria Plzeň who played recently in UEFA Champions League. Senco Doubravka looks crap to me. I need answers from AIFF.

@cybertron , If India U-23 is struggling to beat a Czech 3rd Division side , why should Wim choose to play stronger opposition . He needs relatively equal opposition to experiment. He tried some things in the last game , it didn't work , lets hope he finally figures out where to play everyone, he doesn't analyse enough I-League games , nor does Savio and hence they are struggling to fit square pegs in round holes.

Based on last seasons league form....

    Amrinder
( Gurpeet should join next week )

Pritam Kotal                           Salam Ranjan                                       Sandesh Jhingan                       Narayan Das

    Pranoy Halder                               Siam Hanghal

    Lalrindika Ralte

Francis Fernandes                            Robin Singh                                   Sunil Chhetri

In midfield 3 : Milan Singh hardly played for Lajong last season , Alwyn & Dika have to play the #10 role as neither have the defensive discipline . Pranoy & Siam played a large number of I-League games and deserve the spot for work rate alone , Borges could be another option

Sunil was top scorer along with a foreign centre forward ( Duffy ) playing on the left of a 3....so clearly the best role for him , given he had his best ever club season, so why make him play #10 . By all accounts he had a terrible game there. Look at his last few goals for India ( vs. Bangladesh ) , both came from the left channel !
Robin & Haokip are the only #9's in India until Dawson returns , Robin will be better suited and more experienced for an U23 tournament.
Francis ( I'm not a fan) , but as he has picked a senior he shud use him , I prefer Mandar / Len Doungel

Back 4 is pretty set , all 4 of those boys had very good seasons and the only weakness is neither full backs gets forward enough and supports the attack sufficiently.

GK's : self explanatory for those who watched the I-League, both those options are better than even the senior team players like Sandip Nandy , Karanjit or Subhashish Roy Chowdhary ( can't deal with back-passes) , with the exception of Subrata " calamity" Pal

Is it just me or everyone here feels those Czech players look U-20 something.
