Well a fair result I suppose. I am worried about the kind of opposition which India U-23 will be facing in Asian Games.

It's plain to see the line-up posted here is the best option.
Shankar Sampangiraj played 0 ileague games last season and in both the games IndiaU23 conceded after he came on for a struggling Sandesh (injury worry).
Wim should've taken an experienced centre back to help groom the back four and left Francis (Savio's pet) behind.

2 nominees for young player of the year dknt get a single minute...whike we have a couple of 27-28 year olds playing holding midfield...good development Wim !

This happens all the time in Indian Football...some make the team without doing anything.....some do not make it even after doing everything right....Seems Wim's era on the verge of extinction...Asian Games will probably be his last assignment as I don't see the players he selects making much headway. Even Savio should be thrown out Dutch Coach of Bangladesh doing a better job.
  • any idea when the draw for Asian games will be out??
  • dika as deep lying playmaker .............

@Ronnie I hope India is not grouped with Japan and South Korea in the first round.

Highly unlikely that Japan & South Korea will be grouped together. ..both will be seeded...especially given their rankings and South Korea being hosts.
That said, almost certain India will be grouped with a top seed..as they will be in the lowest seeded pot.
End of the day , it's all about exposure for the "younger" boys , noone realistic would expect a medal

Some player's getting disgruntled with Wim and his training.
Boring session's. ..same practices and the same player's used.
It was meant to be an exposure trip...why use only 12 player's yesterday !?
