The UAE Olympic national team face hosts South Korea in the final test for the Whites before they line up for honours in 17th Asian Games on Wednesday. The UAE players have carried out their final training session at the Aviation College playing fields in the Korean city Incheon under the supervision of the head coach Ali Ebrahim.
The boys in white have beaten Song Ho 4-1 in the first warmup during the current South Korean training camp and defeated Incheon 3-0 in the second appearance.
The football competition kicks off on September 14 with 29 teams in the fray. UAE take on India in the opener of Group-G and play against Jordan in the final match of the group stage where they have good chance to proceed to the second stage since two sides advance from the three-team group.
However, in the event that UAE have finished top of the Group will face the runners up of Group H, Iran, Vietnam and Kyrgyzstan on September 25 or if they will finish runners up, they play the top of the group on the second day.
Meanwhile Jordan too will be heading to Korea today
Jordanian Olympic team’s Head Coach Jamal Abu-Abed has revealed the final 19-man list for the Olympic Team that will be representing Jordan in the men’s football competition at the 2014 Incheon Asian Games.
The Olympic team managed to draw with Al-Jazeera Club 1-1 on Thursday, September 4, 2014 , and beat Shabab Al-Ordon Club 2-1 on Saturday, while they will be facing Jordanian Champions Al-Wehdat on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, before heading to Korea to take part in the Asian Games.
Jordan was drawn in Group G with India and the United Arab Emirates. Below are the names of the players called upon to the Asian Games in addition to the match schedule fort their matches.
