More than physique, a good talent, technique and a good footballing brain is what's required.

Klose, Raul, Villa are all players who've excelled as a single striker and they weren't known for their physicality.

Even in CB position, Nesta was once among the world's best but he's not physically imposing.

In CM, you have Xavi never known for physicality.

And of course there's Leo Messi, the best example of how to be a top footballer with a poor physique.
