i think am one of the few ppl here who think the NT's performance need not be influenced by grassroots or a strong I-league. sure it helps u lay the foundation for the future. but ur short term results can b drastically improved if u get the pio's to play for the country. 4 PIO's plus 2-3 from the current NT can make a load of difference on the pitch. sadly loads of teams are using that loophole which we arent. either that or keep playing higher ranked teams even if ur beaten well. u rather have promising u-21 players in ur team than have flatter to decieve players like alwyn & francis.

Look at his record in 2014 !!..not exactly experienced to coach a National team....
But I feel he will bring more young blood to the team and can also play the Tuki Taka
In that department , Pradyum Reddy has best knowledge of scouting...experience in Northeast so access to all the top young talent
